Job Title: Process  Safety Engineer

Applicants are invited to submit their CV for the position of Process Safety Engineer. This is a contract position with one of our multinational clients in Cork. The purpose of this role is to assess all existing and new processes and select or modify suitable equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing, safety and environmental performance of each process. Assist in the implementation and execution of all necessary validation requirements to ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards. Trouble shoot and review all processes and process equipment to ensure optimal performance of the equipment and the process.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Planning and implementation of HSE systems.
  • Preparation of EH & S reports as required particularly for submission to regulatory authorities.
  • Develop, maintain and review Health and Safety program to ensure it meets and exceeds legislative and industry requirements.
  • Perform health and safety audits.
  • Conduct process Hazops and risk assessments.
  • Advise on safety testing required for new processes
  • Prepare Basis of Safety documentation
  • Assist in maintenance of OHSAS 18001 safety management system.
  • Key member of the health and safety team.
  • Establish priorities for development of hazard control program and participate in their implementation.
  • Regular strategic review of H&S program in line with the concept of continuous improvements and provide suitable measurements for H & S program at plant level.
  • Establish metrics for assessing H & S effectiveness.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure changes to manufacturing process are implemented after safety reviews.
  • Review of new installations to ensure they meet safety requirements.
  • Act as the site REACH coordinator

Selection Criteria / Person Specification:

  • A science or engineering primary degree together with a diploma or equivalent in Health & Safety
  • A minimum of 5-10 years safety experience in a cGMP environment
  • A proven track record operating as a safety engineer in a pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing environment

Job Title: Energy Engineer
Location: European Based

We are currently looking for an Energy Engineer for a client of ours.

This opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and project management skills as well as the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, technical environment. At the core of the position is high attention to detail, an analytical aptitude, and the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Projects may involve energy efficiency, demand response, energy procurement, energy data management, and self-generation. The role will involve travelling to clients sites located in EU or outside.


  • Work with diverse stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and implement strategies and measures to reduce, monitor energy consumption
  • Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Use analytical tools to evaluate the performance of, and make recommendations for, energy systems and equipment.
  • Prepare written analysis of findings and recommendations for various energy-related solutions
  • Build relationships with external suppliers and partners, and with internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, finance, or similar
  • Experience and proficiency in project management
  • Strong working knowledge of demand-side energy analytics and management (e.g., building operations, building management systems, self-generation, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret, analyse, and help build project financial models
  • Basic knowledge of data collection and analysis methods
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS)
  • Knowledge of multinational energy markets
  • Energy auditing or commissioning experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Understanding of measurement and verification techniques
  • Other EU languages: French, German would be a strong plus
