IOSH Temporary Works Coordination Course Programme

Our Temporary Works Coordination Course Programme is an IOSH Approved course. The aim of this program is to equip candidates with the knowledge to fully understand the legal responsibilities in regard to Temporary works, identify the roles and responsibilities required and guidance on how they might fulfil their role in line with legislation and best practice.

Course Details
Duration: 2 Days
Participants: Up to 10 participants
Assessment: Written Exam
Accreditation: On successful completion of the exam participants will be awarded the IOSH Temporary works Coordination Certificate.
Who should attend this course?

This course is intended for those who will be involved at the Project Supervisor Construction Stage or anyone who wishes to get an appreciation of the role and its function.

Course Objectives

The Aim of this program is to equip candidates with the knowledge to fully understand the legal responsibilities in regard to Temporary works, identify the roles and responsibilities required and guidance on how they might fulfil their role in line with legislation and best practice.

On completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Understand what Temporary works are
  • Understand why we need controls for Temporary Works
  • Identify where Temporary works may be encountered
  • Distinguish between the different roles and responsibilities regarding Temporary works
  • Know the legislation is in place for Temporary works
  • Understand how to remain compliant when undertaking Temporary works
  • Outline the steps required for hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Know the process for implementing Temporary Works
  • Understand how to apply the training in a practical way
