Applications are invited for the position of Health & Safety Officer, initially as an independent contractor, for a defined period of time 3 months.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • All H&S activities for ABB service department.
  • Assist in the delivery of respective OHS plans and ensure effective risk management through OHS excellence along ABB’s value chain.
  • Contribute to improving OHS performance in the service department.
  • Collects, analyses and reports on OHS performance, utilizing Group sustainability KPIs.
  • Performs and documents regular operational OHS audits and inspections.
  • Supports delivery of annual plans and the implementation of OHS objectives.
  • Reviews and leads incident investigations within own area of responsibility.
  • Carries out root cause analysis and advises on corrective actions.

 
Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience of high mix or low volume project environment
  • Diploma or Degree level qualification
  • Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills with the ability to prioritise and manage peaks in workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with clients employees in a professional manner, both in person and via telephone, and a strong focus on managing customer relationships
