The aim of the IOSH Explosion Safety Management (ATEX) course is to give participants technical knowledge on multiple areas. These include ignition sources, flammability data. As well as the basic principles of different types of protection. Including containment, separation, construction and design giving the participants useful knowledge and insight into the design of installations and assessment of explosive atmospheres. IOSH Explosion Safety Management course is intended for Health & Safety Managers and Safety Personnel, Project Managers, E&I Engineers, Design Engineers, and Maintenance Personnel. As well as Plant Supervisors and Operators requiring the core knowledge to work safely in potentially explosive atmospheres and compliance with the requirements of the ATEX Directives.
