After months of Government campaigning, Cork City has been announced as the host for 2020 European Maritime Day (EMD). This will be the first time that the event will be held in Ireland.
Over 1,000 stakeholders from across the EU are expected to descend on Cork City on June 8th for what is considered one of the most important events in the EU’s maritime calendar.
European Maritime Day is the annual meeting point for innovative companies, universities, researchers, public authorities amongst others to discuss the development within the sector, network and forge joint action.
The conference programme will include plenary sessions, stakeholder workshops, exhibitions and project presentations.
SeaFest, Ireland’s national maritime festival, will take place in Cork in conjunction with the 2020 conference.
