GSK Case Study
The Problem How to Achieve the company’s ambitious safety and sustainability objectives without making a large investment in a local EHS team.
Our Approach We brought our comprehensive range of safety expertise and knowledge of Pharma needs, to shape an end to end EHS system. Working with the GSK team we re-wrote their safety and environmental policies and procedures. We then trained the team to implement these effectively and so achieve both the high internal standards of GSK and of the local legislation. The Outcome • GSK Ringaskiddy is a best in class site within their corporation. • They now sustain this with a small team who operate within a good basic system, properly embedded into their culture. • CMG remains as an advisor for ongoing changes in needs • The balance is created to evolve and sustain the system to remain world class

Quinn Group Case Study
The Problem The business was sold to new owners – who wanted to assess the safety performance of the company and to ensure that high safety standards were established and maintained.
Our Approach • Carry out a Safety Management Audit across the Quinn Group including; Concrete, Glass, Packaging, Plastics, Power and Radiators. • These audits were carried out across several countries including; Ireland, UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Slovakia, Poland, and Bulgaria . • Design and implement a standardised safety management system throughout the group,
The Outcome • An accurate third party assessment of Group safety standards across all risk areas – creating an effective management reporting system • This allowed EHS professionals to focus on improving – rather than measuring, safety performance. • This in turn facilitated accelerated and continuous improvement across all safety areas. • Those real results lowered safety risk and contributed to reducing long term insurance costs. • All of the above substantially contributed to enhanced competitive advantage for the group.
