1. Location of Underground Services Training (2 Days)

Course Objective

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
(i) Understand the legislation related to Location of Underground Services
(ii) Complete the detection / location and avoidance of underground services when required during excavation works.

Target Audience

This course is intended for managers, supervisors and all employees who are required to be involved in the detection and avoidance of underground services.


2. FÁS CSCS Signing, Lighting and Guarding on roads (3 Days)

Course Objective

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
(i) Understand the legislation related to SLG (Signing, Lighting and Guarding) i.e. the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006, this training has been mandatory sinceJune 2009
(ii) Understand the requirements of Signing, Lighting and Guarding for the management of roadworks on all road types. 

Target Audience

This course is intended for managers, supervisors and all employees who are required to be involved in the development, organisation and management of roadworks on all road types. .

3. Mobile Access Tower Course (1 Day or 2 Day)

Course Objective

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
(i) Understand the legislation related to Mobile Access Towers i.e. the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006, this training has been mandatory sinceJune 2009
(ii) Understand how to erect and dismantle a mobile access tower in full compliance to the current leglislation requirements

Target Audience

This course is intended for people who work in the scaffolding industry. It is suitable for managers, supervisors and all employees who are required to erect and dismantle scaffolding

Assessment

Participants will be required to complete both a written and a practical assessment.

Accreditation

A FÁS Certificate and a CSCS card will be issued on successful completion of the course. The certificate is valid for 5 years.
