Who is this course intended for?
This FETAC Certified Manual Handling Instructor Course (RPL) is designed for those who are already certified Manual Handling Instructors.
The process called RPL is available to upgrade the standard certification to FETAC Level 6. The amount of extra training or guidance required will depend on the extent of the learners previous experience and training.
Requirements:
In order to avail of this process learners will be required to complete an Recognition of Prior Learning Application form.
This application form will look for evidence of the learners prior learning and experience with Manual Handling. The learner will return the RPL application Form along with supporting documentation to CMSE.
A CMSE Mentor will assess and make a decision on the application.
The Mentor will provide feedback on whether the learner can progress to final assessment or requires further training (workshops etc).
CMSE will be running a number of workshops to assist the learner successfully complete the final assessments.
