Course Objectives

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Operate a Forklift safely, reducing the risk of injury to operators and pedestrians and increase the efficiency of Forklift Truck Operators
• Use safe operating techniques
• Refuel/recharge Forklifts safely
• Correctly position Forklift in relation to task requirements

Target Audience

The course is intended for experienced forklift truck drivers, wishing to refresh/renew previous certification.

• General Safety Rules
• Loading and Stacking Procedures
• De-stacking and Unloading
• Maintenance
• Charging and Changing Batteries
• Fuelling Procedure

Assessment

Participants are required to complete a practical session, as well as a short written examination
