Evacuation Planning

On completion of this course participants will:

  • Have a greater understanding of the fire precautions that are built into your workplace
  • Recognise the hazards and the threat posed by fire to people, property and jobs
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the nature and behaviour of fire
  • Understand the role and action to be taken in respect of:
    - Discovering a fire
    - Raising the alarm and action upon hearing the alarm
    - Correct method of calling the brigade
    - Evacuation of the building
  • Distinguish between the different types of extinguishers and the fires for which they are suited.

Target Audience

Fire Wardens and Emergency Response Team Management.
