Course Details

Title: Decision Driver Training Course (Two Day)

Course Objectives 

To make driver more knowledgeable and more aware of the potential dangers on the road in order to minimise the risks while driving.

Target Audience

All employees who drive company vehicles or motorists who want to increase their driving awareness skills

Course Content

The decision driver course consists of two modules, Theory and Practical.

Theory:

  • Introduction of the principles of the Advanced Driving System
  • Driver attitudes and consideration for other road users Developing new and existing skills                                                        
  • Bad habits – hazardous driving situations Accidents – Their cause and effect.
  • Why accidents happen & how to  avoid them

Practical:

  • Developing new and existing skills
  • Putting into practise the theory learned on the course

Participants

Up to 10 participants

Duration

Day 1

Two hour theory session for 10 participants followed by a one hour practical for four drivers (one on one with the instructor in a company vehicle)

Day 2

 

One hour practical for six drivers (one on one with the instructor in a company vehicle).
The course schedule can also altered to accommodate company specific requirements

Assessment

Participants are required to complete a practical session and a written examination.

Accreditation

Full certification of attendance is provided on successful completion of the course.
