Confined Space (Public)
Confined Space Training Course
This is a very valuable one day course and is designed for training Confined Space Entrants, Observers and Supervisors. The course covers the current applicable legislation, permit to work systems, safe systems of work, procedures for entry and rescue. The requirement for CPR with respect to the observer is also addressed. This is not just a classroom course and does involve actual confined space entry. This course is also suitable for FAS funding for jobseekers.
Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to:
- Give an overview of the hazards associated with confined space entry
- Ensure participants are capable of putting in place safe work practices to ensure a safe place of work when working in confined spaces as it applies to the workplace

Make sure that they are capable of following emergency procedures in the event of a confined space incident

Legislation covering entry into a confined space (2001 Confined Space Regulations).
Target Audience
Employees who enter confined spaces, act as observers or act as permit issuers during confined space entries.

Participants: This course is run with up to 10 attendees.
The training can be completed at the CMSE fire training centre or at your own workplace.
